The Big Balls headset is ideal for those that use their bikes for dirty/extreme riding. The cups are 1 1/8" threadless steel in black. The bearing arrangement is where these headsets differ to most loose bearing headsets. The upper bearing is a 3/16" and the lower bearings are a larger 1/4". This is to help them survive in harsh weather and also to help them put up with more jarring from bumpy terrain. The headset comes with a star nut and head cap too. All you need do is grease the bearings when installing to get the best life out of this heavy duty headset.
