Economy Diode Laser System The SDL15 produces an impressive 54Jcm2 energy density at 808nm with a pulse duration of 0.09 seconds. Pulse frequencyis user-adjustable from 1-7 emissions per second. This is a great entry-level laser epilator which is not recommended for tattoo removal or general dermatology. If you require a system which can do those procedures, please refer to the SDL50 and SDL80 units. Maximum power output is 100% greater than the recommended level for efficient laser shaving (on hair growth types 3-6: brown and black). Laser shaving is also possible with blond and red hair types (2 and 3) using carbon dye. Each power pulse has an effective treatment area of 1cm wide and feels like a brief pinch. Very few patients would describe the procedure as 'painful'. The SDL line of Diode Laser Machines have very comfortable and versatile hand pieces. A powerful 5cfm positive displacement micro-fan keeps the semiconductors cool during use, thereby increasing power, performance and life-expectancy of the diodes.
