How do I use OraCoat XyliMelts? How long do the effects last?

• Place a disc on the gums or teeth on the outside of molar, upper or lower, with the white side touching your cheek and the tan adhesive side against your gums and/or teeth.
• Use your tongue to push the disc to a comfortable spot. If irritation develops, rotate placement among multiple locations.
• Once there, let your cheek hold it in place. Do not push with your finger or touch with your tongue for 10 seconds as this will disrupt adhesion which grows stronger over time, reaching full strength in 5 minutes.
• If you do not like the location, dislodge the disc within 1 minute after initial placement and push your tongue to a new spot.

At night / while sleeping: You should generally use 2 discs (one for each side of your mouth).

However, some people find 1 disc at a time sufficient. While sleeping, XyliMelts works for about 4-8 hours.

During the day: Use as needed, works for 1 -4 hours.
