The active ingredient of Muconasal ® Plus Spray, tramazoline hydrochloride, is an alpha-sympathomimetic, which has the effect of vasopressin and immediately reduces the swelling of the nasal mucosa. This results in an immediate and sustained reduction of swelling and nasal secretions. Following intranasal administration of Muconasal ® Plus Spray, usually after 5 minutes, local vasoconstriction occurs, which lasts from 8 to 10 hours.
