Anatomical model of the knee joint
with patella and ligaments, life-size.
This anatomical model is a lifelike cast of a human knee joint (articulation genus).
To the osseous joint count the thigh bone (femur), shin (tibia) and the kneecap (patella).
All of these joint components are reproduced exactly and are flexibly connected. This flexibility gives you the opportunity to the natural movements of the human knee joint to simulate, such as flexion and extension and external and internal rotation.
The patella is embedded in the patellar tendon. The Minisci are simplified shown.
The elastic band structures are colored for better visual representation.
