Exoderil 1% cutaneous solution is an effective, non-prescription treatment for fungal infections of the feet, especially between the toes, the bottom of the foot (distinguished as redness, peeling and swelling or itching blisters), the nails, (characterized by thickening and yellowing of the nails) and the nail beds. Exoderil 1% cutaneous solution is active against skin fungi, yeasts & moulds and against various bacterial infections that often occur in fungal infections. The active substance in Exoderil is Naftifine Hydrochloride 1%. HOW TO USE: Before applying the solution, areas to be treated must be cleaned and dried thoroughly. The solution can be applied directly from the vial using a dropper or on a piece of cotton. Fungal SKIN-Infections: Apply to affected areas ONCE daily. Fungal NAIL-Infections: Twice-daily application is recommended. (Fungal infections of the nails are slower to respond to treatment and it may be necessary to continue for several months). To Prevent Recurrence of the Fungal Infection: Continue to use Exoderil for at least two weeks after symptoms have cleared. To Aid Recovery: Clothing which comes into contact with affected skin should be changed every day (e.g., socks). Towels and wash-cloths should be changed every day. Avoid tight clothing or shoes. Always dry affected areas thoroughly after bathing or showering. Local irritation as a feeling of dryness, redness and warmth may occur in individual cases.
