Effective teeth bleaching without peroxide. Mirawhite® oxygen is a gel for gentle tooth bleaching, based on the Ardox-X® technology. Ardox-X® is a hydrocarbon oxoborate complex, which uses an oxidation process for tooth bleaching. Unlike with peroxides, no free radicals are built during the oxidation process. This new tooth bleaching technology is more widely applicable than traditional methods, without compromising the result: The Mirawhite® oxygen tooth bleaching gel is water and saliva soluble, non abrasive and acts pH neutrally. It does not damage teeth or gums and it avoids the sensitivity often felt with peroxide methods. Application is possible if the patient has existing gingiva problems. Mirawhite® oxygen does not soften fillings. Teeth remain whiter for longer as Mirawhite® oxygen is gentle on the enamel. In contrast, many peroxide products do roughen tooth surfaces, which means pigments can easily stick to the enamel and the bleaching effect is lost. Mirawhite® oxygen can whiten teeth up to 5 shades within 7 days. It should be applied twice a day, in the morning and evening after tooth brushing. Bleaching will only be effective in vital tooth areas, not in crowns, bridges, veneers and filling materials.
