"rock" into perfect balance, fine tuning your posture
for maximum comfort, allowing for deep, restful
meditation.

How it works
When you sit on a CalmingBreath meditation stool
the first thing you will notice is that your knees
virtually "float", barely touching the
floor. The second thing you notice is the complete
lack of any pressure in the lower back. This is
because your "sit bones" rest just
off of the back edge of the bench and the weight of
your body is not concentrated in the spine, but in the
thighs. This makes the posture both very
comfortable but also highly stable. It's almost
impossible to slump in this position. Good posture
is automatic.

Do you need a cushion?
Though these seats are designed not to need a
cushion at all, we do recommend you have one if
you are going on retreat, or intend to sit for longer
periods. A cushion will add just that little extra comfort
and padding when you most need it!
