Bisodol Tablets contain three active ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Calcium Carbonate and Light Magnesium Carbonate, belonging to the group of medicines called antacids which work by neutralising excess acid in the stomach Bisodol Tablets provide relief from the symptoms of acid indigestion, trapped wind and heartburn by neutralising excess acid in the stomach.Before you take this medicine:Do not take Bisodol Tablets if:You are allergic to any of the ingredientsYou have been told the level of phosphate in your blood is low (hypophosphataemia)You have heart or kidney problemsYou are in the first three months of pregnancy Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Bisodol Tablets if you are taking tetracyline antibiotics or iron tabletsSide-effects:Bisodol tablets may not suit everybody. Some patients may have side effects, such as constipation or diarrhoea. If you take this medicine over a long period of time you may suffer from rebound hyperacidity (regurgitation of stomach acid into the foodpipe). If you experience these symptoms or have any other unusual effects that last for more than a few days, you should tell your doctor.Consult your doctor if this symptom does not go away.Overdose - If you take too many Bisodol Tablets, you may experience constipation, diarrhoea or feel bloated.
