Designed for a carer tomonitor when someone gets out of bed, wheelchair or chair to help prevent falls and wandering. A pull cord attaches to the user's clothing which when detached will sound an alarm. The alarmcan only be reset by entering a four digit key code on themain unit, or via the supplied infrared (IR) remote control. This eliminates the risk of the alarmbeing turned off by the user without being attended to by the carer. It has loud or soft volume settings, with two alarmsounds, and can be silenced and connected to a nurse call systemfor remote alarmsignalling if required. The alarmfeatures adjustable stand-by time in order to allow the carer to reposition the person without the alarmbeing triggered again. Can also be used with optional sensor mats (below sold separately) which are placed underneath the person.When pressure is placed on or removed fromthemat, the alarmwill be triggered. Features versatilemounting base and wall hanger, and a cable holder to prevent accidental disconnection. The alarmunit is plastic with a tough, rubberised housing for protection against damage caused by dropping on hard floors. Requires either 4 x AA batteries (not included) or an optionalmains adaptor. Features a low battery indicator.
