Ivy, the well-known evergreen climber, was held in high esteem among the ancients and has many traditions attached to it. To the Greeks, Thyme denoted graceful elegance and its uses were extolled by Virgil and Pliny. Both Ivy and Thyme feature prominently in Alfred Vogel's The Nature Doctor.
