The Jetstream is the first bike in the 2013 Viking road range and named after the super fast flowing narrow air currents found in the atmospheres of earth and other planets (Thankyou Wikipedia). The Jetstream is constructed around a high tensile steel frame and has a relaxed road race geometry with sloping top tube. Shimano handlebar indexed shifters are fitted for effortless gear changing. Highlights include 36 hole Viking deep section alloy rims with quick release front hub and Shimano derailleurs. This version of the Jetstream is aimed at the budding junior racer, it's fitted with 20" wheels with narrow 28C tyres and higher gearing make it easier to achieve and maintain higher speeds than a mountain bike or hybrid. This junior Jetstream comes with the same spec gear as the adult version and is equipped with a 14 speed transmission using a 14-28 Shimano freewheel on the rear and a 38-48 double chainset. Powerful alloy calliper brakes are fitted to slow the bike in all conditions. An ideal entry level bike for the budding junior racer.
