5% NaF Fluoride Varnish Kit
Fluoride varnish is a highly concentrated form of fluoride which is applied to the tooth's surface as a type of topical fluoride therapy. It is not a permanent varnish but due to its adherent nature it is able to stay in contact with the tooth surface for several hours.[2] It may be applied to the enamel, dentine or cementum of the tooth and can be used to help prevent decay, remineralise the tooth surface and to treat dentine hypersensitivity.
Protective varnish containing 5% Sodium Fluoride based on Copal gum for insulating exposed dentine and providing thermal barrier.
Light A2 shade.
Easier to use than gels and rinses with young children.
Dries immediately upon contact with saliva
Contains 5% sodium fluoride (NaF)
Approved formulation for treating dentinal desensitivity .
Directions for Use:
Clean teeth and remove excess moisture from area to be treated.
Remove the bottle and shake contents well.
Paint a thin film of varnish onto treatment area using cotton pellet or applicator brush provided.
Remove isolation, allowing moisture or saliva to set varnish.
Dispose cotton pellet after use.
Patient may leave immediately after treatment.
Post-Application Instructions :
Varnish will set on contact with saliva.
It is alright for the patient to eat or drink right away.
Avoid brushing teeth the following night.
