Product Description

Clinical studies have shown that the ear is an excellent place for taking body temperature as the ear temperature reflects the bodies' core temperature. The bodies' temperature is regulated by the hypothalamus which shares the same blood supply as the ear drum. Changes in the core body temperature are usually seen sooner in the ear than in other parts of the body. This thermometer measures the heat generated by the ear drum and surrounding tissue. To help ensure accuracy, 6 measurements are taken within one second and the average temperature is displayed. Does not require probe covers, simply clean with a sterilizing wipe. Carry case included. Requires 1x CR2032 battery (supplied).
