Human Skull and cervical spine model


This Anatomy model of a human skull (cranium) and cervical spine (cervical vertebrae), provides an ideal illustration of the craniocervical relationships and is particularly suitable for the areas of physiotherapy, rehabilitation and spinal surgery. Students also appreciate this very model.

The skull is flexibly mounted on the cervical spine. This allows to study the anatomy of the skull and the anatomy of the cervical spine separately.
All major structures such as cranial bones, sutures and major fossae and bony landmarks are illustrated accurately.

The skull model can be devided into three parts:
A removable skull, the skull base and facial bones (neurocranium), and a movable jaw. Three teeth can be removed.

The cervical spine (cervical vertebrae) is used to best display the bony anatomy and the localization of the surrounding neurovascular structures.
The cervical spine consists of 7 cervical vertebrae C1 through C7, between which are the intervertebral discs. Cranially is the skullbase shown.
In addition to the bony structures of this model also includes neural and vascular structures.
Neural structures: spinal cord (medulla spinalis) with segmental nerve root exits.
Vascular structures: the course of the vertebral artery and simplified representation of the circle of Willis.

The skull model is separated into the following parts:
