The cream is suitable for use on minor wounds and for skin irritations such as those due to insect bites or stings. Helps to soothe & heal chapped lips or hands. Calendula Officinalis has been used medicinally for centuries. Modern research suggests that Calendula extracts have anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties. In herbalism, Calendula is used topically for promoting wound healing, acne, reducing inflammation and soothing irritated tissue. Calendula contains naturally-occurring chemicals, which have been shown to speed up wound-healing in several ways, including increasing the blood flow to the affected area and promoting the production of collagen proteins. Calendula possesses antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effects due to its flavonoid content. TO USE: Gently apply 2-3 times a day to the affected areas. Does not contain preservatives.
