The Talus series, this year joined by the Talus 29er mountain bike, is Raleigh's range of superbly capable, exceptional value and truly all-terrain mountain bikes. The new Talus 29er 'big rig' features over-sized 29" wheels, which make light work of roots and rocks, and lower rolling resistance. The bike is a great fit for medium height to tall riders. At the heart of each Talus is the Raleigh 6061-T6 aluminium frame with formed top and down tubes providing strength and style with clean lines. The low rise handlebars offer a comfortable riding position and they're spot on for venturing off-road. An easy riding posture also makes it easier to scan the surrounding trail and what lies ahead. Shimano provide the drive train on all Talus models with Suntour suspension soaking up the rough and bumps where fitted. The 2014 TALUS 1:0 is possibly Raleigh's best entry level Men's MTB to date. Featuring a lightweight aluminium frame matched to a Shimano 18-speed gearset, it is ready to handle the daily commute or the weekend off road ride.
