The generation of MICH helmet (Modular Integrated Communications Helmet) replaced the PASGT helmets in the U.S. armed forces (Army) since the late 80s. The 2002 type resembles the missing link between the stadard MICH and the 2001 type.
The main changes, which are also prominent in our replicas, were a completely revised padding system, a new chinstrap with suspension, as well as adjustments to the helmets shell, to support use of modern communications systems.
Our replica is made of fiberglass based on the original details. The fiberglass material allows for an original thickness at nearly original weight. The material creates a realistic look and is more stable than normal ABS.
IMPORTANT: Nevertheless, there is no proven protective effect on the helmets given, neither physically or ballistic! One size fits all .
